KARACHI: A Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Member National Assembly (MNA) was deprived of her cell phone and other valuables on Wednesday evening.

MNA Munira Shakir and her daughter were returning to their apartment in Clifton Block-5, after having visited a relative. When Shakir's daughter, who was driving the car, slowed the car as they neared their apartment two armed men stopped them.

The MNA in her statement to the police said that the armed men put a pistol up to her daughter’s head and demanded that they hand over their purse and the cell phones. The culprits managed to escape thereafter.

Boat Basin SHO Naseer Tanoli told The Express Tribune that the MNA was carrying at least Rs65,000 in cash, cell phone, ATM cards and other valuables in her purse at the time. A case has been registered and an investigation was underway.

So this makes a strong case for all PPP officeholders & parliamentarians to have 100,000 more bodyguards and bullet-proof vehicles for their protection. http://tribune.com.pk/story/463925/even-faryal-talpur-is-scared/ Total collapse of governance system, if any!!
