Assistant Political Agent (APA) Bara Nasir Khan said that the clashes started when AI fighters attacked the check post held by TTP militants, in an attempt to take control over it. As a result, four AI fighters were killed and three sustained injuries while six TTP men were gunned down and seven were injured.
The APA said that AI spokesperson Sadat Afridi confirmed the casualties. He added that the TTP militants have shifted the bodies to an undisclosed location along with the injured. According to the spokesperson of the AI, the group has taken control over the Dwa Stanai check post.
On January 25, clashes between TTP, AI, Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) and Kamar Khel pro government militia erupted, which left over 100 TTP, 40 AI, 23 LI and 16 pro-government militia men dead, while hundreds were injured. The ongoing conflict made around 700 people flee the area.
The clashes continued till February 4 and then started again on February 10, when AI fighters attacked the TTP-held check post.
The Tirah Valley has been under the control of militants engaged in a deadly turf war. Strategically an important area, the valley borders Afghanistan and also connects to Bara.

If anyone has any acquantance with that area then you would find that area to be infested with ravines, hills and valleys.Army has confined LI and TTP to this area and is advancing from 3 directions of Kurram, Aurakzai and Bara.4th side directly borders with Afghanistan. All those talking about inaction of Army must know the real on ground situation.
Its so fun watching these people kill each other without our soldiers dying in the process
I wonder in sub main shaheed kon hai?
Seems like everyone is fighting except the Pakistani military.
They should carry on regardless which is good for Pakistan as military is confined to barracks by Kayani. So TTP has established check-posts like regular army which is indeed surprising and shows their confidence.
