Rain expected over the next 2 to 3 days

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Thursday forecast isolated rain and thundershowers in upper Punjab and Islamabad during the next 24 hours.

Scattered rain and thundershowers are expected in Punjab, with occasional gaps, particularly in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur for next two days, the met analysis said.

In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, isolated thundershowers are likely in upper parts of the province and may continue during the next few days, while scattered rain is likely in lower Sindh.

The rain/thundershowers, at times heavy, is expected at a number of places in Sindh particularly in Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Nawabshah, Tharparkar and Karachi during next two to three days.

In Balochistan, mainly hot and humid weather is likely in most parts of the province. However, rain/thundershowers are expected at scattered places of eastern Balochistan including Barkhan, Jhalmagsi, Kohlu, Naseerabad,Lasbella and Sibbi districts during next two days.

Isolated rains and thundershowers are also expected in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during, while heavy thundershowers are expected at a number of places in Kashmir during next 2-3 days.
