LAHORE:

Lahore High Court Justice Manzoor Ahmed Malik has said that the atmosphere in jail is better than that at the subordinate courts.

Speaking to reporters, Justice Malik said the courts should be shifted to a bigger area. He was talking to the media after inaugurating a pedestrian bridge at Aiwan-i-Adl that connects bar rooms with Abu Bakar Block. He suggested to the Lahore Bar Association (LBA) that it take up the matter of the shifting of the courts with the government. He said that litigants suffered owing to the congestion at the current location of the courts. LBA General Secretary Asad Abbas Zaidi said the pedestrian bridge would help lawyers reach their courts.
