LAHORE:

Additional District and Sessions Judge Malik Tariq Mahmood Zargham on Monday directed the Harbanspura SHO to record the statement of a petitioner on his plea seeking registration of a case against three men who he said entered his house pretending to be WAPDA workers and stole his laptop.

Petitioner Nawaz Bajwa said that on September 14, Mohammad Attique, Mohammad Akram and Mohammad Nawaz came to his house and introduced themselves as WAPDA employees.

He took them to his drawing room. They asked for a drink of water. He said he went to the kitchen to fetch water but was astonished on his return to find that the three had disappeared.

Later, he discovered that his laptop was missing.

He said he had gone to the police station with a complaint but the SHO did not register an FIR.

The court directed the SHO to record Bajwa’s statement and proceed in accordance with the law.
