Khar to take up issue of relaxations in US visa for businessmen

Khar says Pakistan needs a stable relationship with neighbouring countries and keep policy consistent.

LAHORE: Foreign Minister of Pakistan Hina Rabani Khar has assured the business community that she will raise the issue of relaxing requirements for visa when she meets US ambassador to Afghanistan and Pakistan Marc Grossman next week.

She was speaking at a lunch hosted by the Entrepreneurs Organisation in her honor. EO President Shahzad Waheed, EO Members Najeeb Vohra, Umair Virk, EO Integration Chair Kashif Aftab and EO Membership Chair Khuram Gulzar also spoke on the occasion.

To a question regarding consistency and independence in foreign policy, she said that we need peace in the country and stable relationship with our neighboring countries to keep our policy consistent.

EO membership chair Khuram Gulzar and Umair Virk urged the Foreign Minister to raise the issue of US visa relaxation with the concerned US officials.

I was really surprised to find out that there is a separate visa process for Pakistani nationals want to travel to India from Sweden or even for those who have been Pakistani nationals any period of time in the past!!!
