Niazi was unconscious for the past four days.
He had willed in his life that his son, Amjad Ali Khan will become his successor in politics.
Hailing from Mianwali, Niazi was the minister for parliamentary affairs during former president general (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s government.
He had been elected to the National Assembly as a member of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in 2002 and had later joined Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q). Niazi had been twice elected as an MPA.
Niazi had later worked as Senior President of Pervez Musharraf's All Pakistan Muslim League (APML). He had later resigned from the party following differences with the party leadership.

He did is job well and was loyal to his master unlike many others
True to his name, Sher adfghan niazi was an outspoken and bold politician. He never wavered in exposing the opposition party members in his t.v. talks. His remarks about sharmila farooqi in a t.v. talk were an example of his boldness.
@Syed Hasan Rizvi: Thanks. My memory is probably going down with age. I am impressed by the fact that ET readers correct me whenever I am wrong. ET has attracted a very select group of readers (excluding me). Regards.

"He had willed in his life that his son, Amjad Ali Khan will become his successor in politics." What kind of thinking is that even at the time of death? RIP and may God forgive his political blunders.
It is about time Express Tribune becomes more serious in its reporting. All its articles on Mianwali have incorrect information. Dr Sher Afgan Niazi was a four time elected MNA not a two term MPA.
Angel, before joining Musharraf he was in PPP, he used to live in the G-10/3 flats, almost close to uncle surgam . Even when he served in the PPP government , he remained there. I will always remember him for that. Maybe you should learn to respect people before you disrespect them.
Everybody start praising him because he is dead now. lol. come on guys he was a shameless politician. what has he done for his people. What are his acheivements. NOTHING. He was the right hand of Musharraf (dictator). RIP Niazi sahab.
@HRA: In democratic set up every one has right to say and comment on political matters so he did exercised his right. Since he has departed from this world we can only pray that his soul may rest in peace Amin.
A funny democracy people are no longer to their representatives they can become MNA, MPA through the will of their parents, wives or taliban. A perfect joke.
May his soul rest in peace. He was a facebook friend of mine, a truly kind person. May Allah Almighty bless him. Ameen.
Man who used to love creating constitutional chaos!!!!
@ Aijaz "jo phans gaya wo Niazi.” Correction it was "jo nass gaya wo niazi" RIP Mr. Sher Afghan..
RIP

Inna lillahe wa Inna ilaihe rajeoon. May Allah grant him a place in junnat-ul-firdous and give patience to his family. Ameen. Mr. Niazi was caught in our not-so-good politics like General Niazi in former East Pakistan. About General Niazi it was said after the fall of former East Pakistan in 1971, "jo mar gaya wo shaheed, jo bach gaya wo ghazi, jo phans gaya wo Niazi." Mr. Niazi, a good peson, also got entangled in our not-so-good politics. Regards.
May his soul rest in peace.
