
President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the government is committed to creating a conducive environment for economic activities to flourish in the country.
He was talking to a delegation of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI), headed by Confederation President Ambassador Benedicto V Yujuico, which had called on him at the Presidency.
The president said that Pakistan considers regional trade integration a major tool for socio-economic development of the region, and CACCI can play a crucial role in promoting greater coordination among the chambers of commerce, business associations and enterprises in Asia and Western Pacific. The president emphasised that greater coordination among business entities of regional countries would help persuade respective governments to adopt business-friendly policies and promote business and trade in the region. He said the government was making every possible effort to make Pakistan an attractive investment destination.
