PESHAWAR:

Four children of a family were killed, while their parents were injured on Tuesday night in an accident on GT road.

Locals told The Express Tribune that around 9pm an Alto rammed into a truck parked by the road. While all the children died, their parents were critically wounded and rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital.

Talking to The Express Tribune, SHO Haji Inayat said that the driver, Tariq, lost control of the vehicle because he was speeding. “The man appears to be an inexperienced driver who was unable to control the vehicle, resulting in the death of his children,” he said. The children were aged between four to eight years.

A family member named Qader said that Tariq had gone to Islamabad and was on his way back home on Tuesday night when the tragic accident occurred. He said that Tariq was not a skilled driver and had recently purchased a car.
