Cricket: Omar Associates win low-scoring tie

Defeated State Bank of Pakistan by five wickets in a low scoring match in the Advance Telecom 2nd Corporate T20 Cup.

KARACHI: Omar Associates defeated State Bank of Pakistan by five wickets in a low scoring match in the Advance Telecom 2nd Corporate T20 Cup 2012 at the DHA Sports Complex. After winning the toss, State Bank of Pakistan scored 96 runs in 18.4 overs. Junaid Zia and Farrukh Shahzad scored 23 and 20 runs respectively. Saad Nasim and Sultan Ahmed took three wickets each to restrict SBP from scoring freely. Omar Associates reached the target in 17.5 overs with five wickets in hand with the help of knocks from Umar Siddique (39) and Fahadul Haq (32) Saad Nasim won the man-of-the-match award for his brilliant bowling.
