Road accident: Two killed, 11 injured as jeep overturns

ABBOTABAD: A man and a woman were killed, almost a dozen others were injured when a passenger jeep overturned near Batli, some 15 km from Darband, on Sunday evening. Police told The Express Tribune that a jeep carrying 13 passengers was coming from Oghi when the driver lost control of the vehicle near Batli village due to speeding. The jeep collided with a roadside hillock and overturned, killing two of the passengers and injuring 11 others. The dead and the injured, which included a woman and two children, were shifted by the police and locals to a hospital in Oghi, from where six critically injured passengers were referred to Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad for treatment. The deceased were identified as Miskeena Jan and Javed.
