Measures: LGH employees being trained against dengue

LAHORE:

All Lahore General Hospital employees are being trained against dengue fever to be able to fight it effectively,” Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Prof Anjum Habib Vohra said on Friday.

Addressing a meeting at the LGH, he said the hospital had started a vigorous campaign by launching a website about dengue, an SMS service and putting up banners around the city to create awareness about precautionary measures.

The dengue awareness website has also been mentioned on every token issued at the emergency ward and outdoor patient ward, he said.

The principal was also briefed about arrangements to treat dengue.

Dr Vohra said that there was no discrimination regarding treatment of patients and provision of medical facilities at the hospital.

He said dengue fever had become a social problem that could only be gotten rid of by creating maximum awareness.
