Indian authorities are considering lifting a 10-year-old ban on Pakistani channels from airing in India, according to the Times of India. Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani had urged the Indian authorities to allow transmission of state-run Pakistan Television (PTV), as well as private channels during his recent interaction with his Indian counterpart, Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai in New Delhi. Indian channels are aired in Pakistan without any restriction, Jilani said, adding that to improve relations between the two countries the Indian authorities should make a reciprocal move.
