More aid to be added to Kerry-Lugar bill

John Kerry says the US will provide more aid to help flood victims, additional to Kerry-Lugar bill.

US Senator John Kerry promised more aid under the Kerry-Lugar bill, while President Asif Ali Zardari vowed to comprehensively build areas devastated by floods.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday, Kerry said that the US will provide more aid to Pakistan to help flood victims. He said the flood aid will be additional to the Kerry Lugar bill.

President Zardari said that the government is responsible for taking care of the flood victims which have reached a toll of 20 million.

Zardari said the floods are a huge catastrophe and appealed to the international community to help Pakistan.

acenith | 13 years ago | Reply more aid and relief is needed all over pk but specially in pukhtunkhwa where agriculture ,being the only source of income ,has been wiped out and will take years to recover . The central govt and donor govts please take notice .
