ISLAMABAD:

Inspector General of the Islamabad Police (IGP) Bani Amin has appointed Inspector Sheikh Naeem as the station house officer of Noon Police Station.

A notification for the establishment of the police station in Sector I-16, which is under development, was issued by the office of the Islamabad Chief Commissioner earlier in the week. It was based on a proposal forwarded by the Islamabad IGP.

Noon Police Station would add to two other police stations, Bani Gala and Loi Bher, which were established without a proper building or lock ups and are currently unstaffed. However, a police source said that on the whole, eight of the city’s seventeen police stations do not have the sanctioned staff while the others are also understaffed.
