Matric result: 90% students pass tenth grade

A total of 52,695 students from nine districts of Hyderabad appeared in exams, 47,933 passed.

More than 90 percent students who appeared in matric exams have passed their annual examinations, according to the result announced on Friday. The exams were conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, in April earlier this year.


A total of 52,695 students from nine districts of Hyderabad division appeared in the exams and out of them 47,933 passed. The qualifying students included 29,324 boys and 18,669 girls. About 37 per cent students secured A-I and A grades.

Arsalan Ahmed Farooqi, a student of Cadet College Petaro in Jamshoro, clinched the top position in Hyderabad division. A student of Government Talib-ul-Moula High School in Dadu, Ashfaque Ahmed, stood second while another student of Cadet College Petaro, Bilal Zafar, came in third.

Meanwhile, 2,122 male and female candidates passed the general group exams. The first position went to Khadim Hussain of the Government High School Thariri Dadu, Misbah Munawar from the Government Islamia Girls High School Shaheed Benazirabad stood second and Nusrat Jehan of Government High School Mir Muhammad Ali Talpur Shaheed Benazirabad secured third position.
