SSC exams: 57.17 per cent pass part one

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate Part-I Annual Examination 2012 on Friday. Overall, 57.17 per cent of candidates, or 41,711 out of 72,960 candidates to appear, passed. Of the 60,796 regular candidates, 39,202 passed for a success rate of 64.48 per cent, while only 2,509 of the 12,164 private candidates passed (20.63%). This year, 18 unfair means cases were reported and eight of those have been ruled on by the board. The full result is also available on the federal board website at www.fbise.edu.pk (http://www.fbise.edu.pk) and candidates can also get their results via SMS by texting FB(space)[roll no] to 5050.
