Trainer aircraft crashes in Lahore

Pilot and co-pilot believed jumped to safety before the crash.

LAHORE: A small trainer aircraft has crashed in Lahore, Express News reported on Thursday.

According to details, a small, single engine trainer aircraft took off from the Walton airstrip in Lahore, but crashed shortly afterwards in Falcon society.

The female pilot managed jumped from the plane before the crash. Express News reported that she had suffered some bruising and a busted lip. She was provided with first aid before being sent to the hospital.

The aircraft crash landed in an open field. The aircraft suffered damage with its fuselage being broken open, its rotors broken and wings bent out of shape.

Earlier in February, a flight instructor and a trainee pilot died when their two-seater plane crashed into a house in H Block, Model Town.

The plane belonging to Hybrid Aviations crashed in the driveway of 143-H Model Town after spiralling down at a very steep angle, according to eyewitnesses.
