Lyari violence: Police raid houses of Uzair, Habib Baloch
However, unknown armed men opened fire at the police personnel, making the raid difficult. No arrest has been reported nor has their been any confirmation from the police.
Following the raid, incidents of aerial firing were reported in different areas of Lyari and two people were injured, including a seven-year old girl.
Habib Jan, PAC men nominated in case
It was reported earlier that Habib Jan along with the PAC leadership was booked for the murder of a policeman in Lyari.
They are accused of involvement in the abduction and murder of Constable Raj Mohammad. The constable had reportedly left the station in plainclothes to check deployments within Kalri police remits. Men in a double cabin vehicle and two motorcycles kidnapped him from Maripur road and later threw his body after shooting him in his head.
FIR No 91/12 under sections 302/34, 365 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code and seven of the Anti-Terrorism Act was registered at the Kalri police station on behalf of ASI Ishtiaq.

Stop crying foul everyone, anyone who is from Karachi knows for a fact that Lyari the the Terrorist's "nest" in Karachi.
Lyari is burning and people are being attacked by state machinary on the behest of their allied partner. Lyari has been made "goat of Sacrifice" to please MQM. But Where is PMLN, PTI, Sindhi Nationalists, Religious parties and Human right groups??? Cant they raise voice against one sided operation against peaceful people of Lyari? If PPP is under pressure from their partners, what stops other parties to raise their voice?
Will PPP ever dare to attack on 90 in hunt of criminals? How easy for PPP it is to attack their own power base through use of brute force on the behest of MQM. People of Lyari always sacrificed for the sake of PPP, they laid their lives for PPP but what a golden return, they get now..they are being attacked in their own Govt. Is Lyari only place in Karachi where criminals reside? What about Nazim Abad, Aziz Abad, Liquat Abad? One sided operation against own workers may please MQM but PPP will loose for ever their strong base. People of Pakistan should raise voice against one sided operation and killing of Lyarittes. PPP should STOP bowing down before the demands of MQM.
