SARGODHA/RAHIM YAR KHAN:

Satellite Town residents on Tuesday presented a town municipal officer with bottles filled with tap water and roses to protest the poor quality of water supplied to their houses by the administration.

Several residents intercepted the TMO in front of his office and tried to give the ‘presents’ to him.

The TMO pushed the protesters and threw a bottle one of them got to hand over to him. Talking to The Express Tribune, the protesters said they thought presenting the TMO with the adulterated tap water on the Valentines Day would be the perfect way to highlight officials’ negligence of their duties. They said the government officials were not concerned about the quality of water supplied to the citizens because they themselves use bottled waters at their homes and offices.

Haseena Bibi gets her CNIC

The National Database and Registration Authority office in Rahim Yar Khan on Tuesday presented Haseena Bibi, who claims to be 21 inches tall, with her computerised national identity cards and a bouquet of roses. Haseena’s CNIC has been processed after she moved a court against the NADRA for denying her the facility for two years.
