The highly talented chefs will represent their country's rich and exquisite cuisine, and will be seen competing with each other in the 26-part series, going on air on NDTV Good Times from January 26.
They will have to cook up new dishes within a stipulated time, after which the preparations will be judged by food critic Vir Sanghvi, actress and food enthusiast Sonya Jehan, and Merrilees Parker, popular British celebrity chef and presenter.
"We have been in love with the food genre. This new show is extremely exciting for us because India and Pakistan are two nations that share a common passion for food. Sitting in India, we would only hear about how they make their burra kebab and biryani... now we can see it for ourself," said Smeeta Chakrabarti, chief executive officer, NDTV Lifestyle.
Hosted by actors Ira Dubey and Aly Khan, the show will be aired Monday-Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.

The only Indo-Pak war I would enjoy!!
@across the border: Hatred is a fools' game and we Indians don't play it.
we should appreciate this, atleast this is an attempt to bring talents from both countries together! What else should we watch? here in Pakistan we have only two kind of programmes: politics programmes and religious programmes thats it!
@Arya:
i think someone from pakistan won a comedy show in india, right? Hope that answers your question.
India will cheat again like they cheated against the Afghan soccer team in the finals of SAFF tournament by bringing in a Sikh referee from Singapore. What a sham!
do our brothers in pakistan have access to such tv channels there??
@ABC - Last I heard Sonya Jehan was of Pakistani origin. Looks like it is you who is biased against any initiatives by the Indians. Irony huh?
They will be judged by Indians? Do you see bias there already? I hope they don't know who cooked what before they judge.
This is what i ve been professing, great idea and gesture for the advancement of firendship between two countries.
I protest
All my hard work of LOOSING weight will soon go down the drain ( LOL )
Just joking All the best to all the participants
I really enjoy These food shows
I even watch Masterchef Australia and Masterchef America
these so called chefs are good for TV shows but I believe they cannot make authentic food.. ..
Now this kind of rivalry I heartily encourage ... look forward to some new dishes ...
What a great idea! Pakistan and India must work together at every level and celebrate their rich and fascinating cultures and traditions. Pakistan's future lies in positive engagement with India and India must respect her smaller but formidable neighbour.
