ISLAMABAD:

Eight days after being deprived of 150 grams of jewellery at Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA), Kiran Qamarul Islam, has been unable to register a First Investigation Report (FIR).

Kiran said that she has been became a rolling stone between the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Airport police, as no authority is willing to register a report.

FIA officials have told her to register a case with local police station first, while the Airport Police Station is not registering the case by using delaying tactics, she said.

PIA passenger Kiran Qamarul Islam, was travelling from Canada to Islamabad on PK784. Upon reaching the BBIA on December 12, she was carrying a bag containing gold worth over Rs1 million.

“I filed a complaint with the Pakistan International Airlines immediately, and they found my luggage on December 16, however, the lock on the bag was broken,” Kiran said, adding, “I was shocked to find that a jewellery pouch containing gold jewellery was missing.”
