The family of the victim were enraged that her body had been disfigured during the post mortem. “How dare they conduct a post mortem without our consent!” said the victim’s grandfather, Muhammad Siddiq. He alleged that the doctors who conducted the autopsy had gorged his granddaughter’s eyes out.
The family complained that so far, the police had done nothing to catch the culprits. They also questioned why the police had done nothing to rescue the child when they had filed a report at the Jauharabad police station when the girl had gone missing.
The family of the girl said that she was playing with other children outside their house on Monday, when a man showed up on a camel and offered them rides. The victim was last seen with this man.
“People with camels often pass through our neighbourhood, so we don’t pay much attention to who they are,” said Siddiq. The victim’s father Mohammad Nazeer was too grief-stricken to talk about the incident.
The duty officer at Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station, Liaquat Ali, said that around 12:55pm on Wednesday, they were informed about a body in some bushes on University Road. The body was handed over to Edhi and a post mortem was conducted at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
SHO Mohammad Rashid admitted that the police does not have a lead on the suspect. But he cast doubt whether the man who had abducted the girl was a camel rider.
“If there was indeed a camel rider who had abducted the girl in broad daylight, then there would have been more than one person who would have witnessed the kidnapping.” However, police say that only one person named Jamal and his wife have come forward as witnesses.
They say that they saw the girl walking along with the camel rider. “We are looking into all possibilities, including the angle that perhaps someone from the family or one of the neighbours could have had a hand in the incident.”

@Faraz and Karachiite: Pause for just a second and THINK. Do you feel that God would want a child-raping beast roaming free and unpunished, endangering other children's lives? I find that hard to believe. Because God and His Prophet (SAW) established laws so that the guilty could be punished not so that victims would have to remain silent and continue to suffer.
@Faraz and Karachiite - Pleaszz stop talking about Islamic law!! . . . Think about God/Allah's law . . . ..this is a heinous crime committed by a Beast and this Beast needs to be publicly Hanged!!
What is wrong with this administration that calls itself a democratic rule and has allowed so much more insecurity and henious crimes on humanity not sparing even children. The authorities do not seem to be doing their job in protecting their population and it does not deserve to be called a democratic government, as the well being of its people seem to be a trivial matter. What a nightmare for the society!!
Look in any civilized society a victim of a crime has to undergo an autopsy. There's no if or but.
@Karachite
Rape is impossible to prove under Islamic laws. That’s why Munawar Hassan said that victim should arrange 4 witnesses or remain silent
Strange.. still no Azaab-e-Ilaahi on us... What else do I'll live to see!!!!!!! :(
Ironic that the Prevention of Anti-women practices was passed as a Bill and STILL STILL STILL no one is doing anything constructive with those laws. We need a Bill for 'Child Protection: Prevention and Punishment for Child labour, Child abandonment, Child Sexual Abuse including rape'.
This is absurd. Why does no one catch these sick sick paedophiles and torture them to death, so that other idiots like them realise that it is WRONG to think or act sexually with a CHILD. I mean do they have no sense of shame for wha they do?
A CHILD.
May God truly send down His swift and Wrathful punishment on these people, May they rot in hell, may they die each day, may the suffer and may they never be able to forget their sick crime.
...and the day begins with another sad news...my heartiest condolences to th efamily of little do;; :((( :@
The culprits should be publicly stoned to death. Don't have words for this barbaric act.
My condolences to the family!
