KARACHI: The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has issued a two-day per week shutdown notice for compressed natural gas (CNG) stations in Sindh.

To help household consumers maintain adequate gas pressure, SSGC has decided to curtail supplies to CNG stations in Karachi and other cities of Sindh, says a press release issued by the company.

“Natural gas demand increases considerably due to additional heating load, especially in the domestic sector, which results in low pressure in the system and inconvenience to gas consumers,” adds the statement.

Regretting the inconvenience caused to the CNG consumers, SSGC reiterates that the gas supply will be restored as soon as the pressure normalises.
