Pak-Oman meeting: Malik discusses Pakistani prisoners issue

Malik says Pakistan attached great importance to its ties with Oman.

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik , visiting Oman on Wednesday for a day-long visit, discussed the issue of Pakistani prisoners in Oman with high-level officials.

Malik said Pakistan attached great importance to its ties with Oman and efforts would be made to further enhance and broaden bilateral cooperation in all areas of common interest. The minister said this upon his arrival at Muscat Airport where Oman Deputy Minister for Interior Syed Muhammad Bin Sultan and other senior officials received him.

Later, Malik also met Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister Sayyid Fahad bin Mahmood Al Said in Muscat, said a press release received from Muscat. Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar also met Ambassador of Oman Mohammad Said Mohammad Al Lawati  in Islamabad on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations.
