The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) coordination committee expressed displeasure over Punjab government's ban on the party's charity wing Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) from collecting hides on Eidul Azha, Express 24/7 reported Tuesday.

MQM alleged that the Punjab government is “afraid” of the increasing popularity of MQM in the province, in a statement released by the coodination committee.

The committee also said that all the banned militant outfits are collecting hides but the KKF was prohibited from doing so.

Earlier, while addressing to the workers in Karachi MQM chief Altaf Hussain said that MQM will give “surprising results” in the next elections.

He also said that the opposition party should not damage the democratic process.

@Shayan, absolutely correct, it is not a charitable wing, it is a militant wing

@Latif: The fact is that the "government" placed them on ban list and they were not allowed to collect donation in terms of hides. Yet these organizations managed to set up hundreds of camps in Lahore alone (as ET reports). Implementation of any law or a decision by Fed gov is the responsibility of the provincial gov's, which PML-N seem to have failed in this regard. We have earlier seen Rana Sanaullah's pics with these guys so it is quite evident what the true motive is. Chill!!
