Pir prognosis: Using rape as a ‘cure’ for migraines
A pir allegedly raped a teenage girl to cure her of repeated migraines.
According to police officials, Khurarianwala resident Allah Wasaya said that his 14-year-old daughter Khatoon was repeatedly raped by a local pir on the pretext of curing her head aches. Khatoon got pregnant and Allah Wasaya has asked police officials to file a case.
“She was suffering from terrible headaches and I took her to several doctors and hakeem’s but no one was able to help her,” Wasaya said. “I heard about this pir who gave very effective taveez and was a powerful magician,” he told police officials.
Wasaya then contacted Mehmood Qasim, who offered taveez for different ailments.
“Qasim told us that she was possessed by a jinn and said that he had a taveez that could help her,” Wasaya told police. “He told us that the jinn was very powerful and it would take several sessions for him to cure her,” he added.
“I recommended Qasim’s services and I still maintain that he is a great man,” said Wasaya’s neighbour Akram. “The girl was probably having an affair and is trying to blame him,” he said.
Wasaya said that during Khatoon’s treatment, Qasim developed illicit relations with his daughter.
“He raped her repeatedly and told her that if she told anyone then he would release the jinn’s in his power on her,” Wasaya said. “My daughter is now pregnant and everyone in the neighbourhood knows of my shame,” he said.
Khatoon told police officials that Qasim had threatened to cast a spell on her if she told anyone what happened. “He used to send everyone away demanding that the ritual required us to be alone.
He said that if anyone else stayed the jinn would possess them as well,” she told police.
Khatoon said that a couple of weeks ago she experienced abdominal pain and went to the doctor. “She told me that I was four months pregnant and now Qasim has run away,” she said. “I want this man arrested because he raped my daughter and now he has ruined her life,” Wasaya said. Khurarianwala police has registered a case on the complaint of Allah Wasaya under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code and started a search for the arrest of the accused.
“These claims are all false. Qasim has cured hundreds of people of their illnesses and he has many loyal followers. Wasaya and his daughter are ungrateful and rather than thanking him for curing the girl of her disease they are blaming him,” said Qasim’s apprentice Kashif Boota. “The girl probably had an affair and got her self pregnant. Now she is trying to blame an honest man who helps cure dozens of people,” he added.

There should be DNA test to know the truth and BTW now-a-days number of pakis are having immoral sexual relationship due to the misuse of mobile mostly so dont blame the peer only we all are responsable if we have BF/GF relationship.. so there needs to be awareness in society and islamic laws should be implemented otherwise we are gonna be sex pills like americans and others.

Being naïve is not a crime and the girl’s family was naïve, the Pir however is a beast and has been doing these things all his life and getting away with. In Pakistan fanatics like Qadri would not hesitate to kill an innocent person but these Pir live happily thereafter and keep preying upon the innocent kids. All "Pirs" self "proclaimed" or "honored" by another Pir should be "documented" with the "local" or "City" government, registered and licensed. Only then they can do business. Any activity is a "business" when you have an intention or an expectation to get paid whenever your service, or product provided. Once registered it's not easy to abuse the license. To make such law the question is "law" & "corruption". Anyone who is involved in corruption at any level should consider him a "partner & promoter" in all activities resulting in rape, murder, robbery, medical & pharmaceutical fraud, tax evasion, smuggling, consumer commodity fraud and all other thefts like water, power, money, resources, land, copy rights etc. This rape is just a "red-flag" swore on the face of our society the real disease is "corruption". People should be educated about the reality of such activities.

according to medical malpractice law,a doctor is still guilty of rape,even if with the patient's consent.The issue is the trust that society places on him ;so it should be the pir;saying that the girl consented to it would not do;another point -the girl is still a minor

Pakistan is full of Peers.
Any one who wants to be called as “Peer” in Pakistan should take permission from the respective Provincial Government whether he can call himself as Peer or not.
This is not the first case which has been highlighted in media. There are uncounted similar cases which goes unreported, as the females whose pregnancy did not exits, do not report such cases to male members of their families.
Why the Mureeds do goes out to meet the Peers? If proper doctors are not available in the villages, the Mureeds should go to a city to seek the help of professional doctors for medical checkup.
But if the female Mureeds goes out to meet such Peers, they will meet the same fate as of this girl report in the press.
This raping pervert should be caught and punished immediately, as well as exposing the other fraudsters out there, to protect the many gullible citizens from harm.
But the best form of defense is education, and not memorizing type education for the sake of a job, but serious introspective critical thinking education, that arms you with the ability to put aside superstitious blackmail and emotion and rationally question the status quo and situation.

You'll even find some very supposed 'educated' Pakistani folks give into superstition with anything in the name of religion, including these Pirs. Including the political leaders of Pakistan, where there's even one political party in Sindh even based around a Pir.
Some professional Pirs have expanded overseas. They have advertisements running on Urdu satellite channels for the oversea Pakistani audiences.
They offer things such as magic potions (steroids, or arsenic) for serious medical illnesses to having their followers change the spelling of their names (English or Urdu) because it'll bring them future luck (fortune, success, visa immigration, marriage, kids, etc). All for the right money, of course.

Government must take a serious action on this Pseudo Pir and he must be punished according to rape laws of Pakistan. Such people are stigma on name of Pakistan.

Secondly, readers must not confuse this incident with "Spiritual Healers", who are pious people (Awliya) of ALLAH. The Pir in this news story was just a fake peer, and he has nothing do with those who really can cure people through Allah's kalaam.
Even some fake doctors are involved in such rape kinda things but this would never mean that we must stop going to doctors and hospitals. Similarly, there are some real Hakeems/Spiritual Healers too but if a fake peer has done this stupid thing blame should never fall on everyone.
Say No to fake Pirs, who have this an occupation to earn money and fulfill their sexual desires. They must be punished publicly!

@Straight Fire: Actually it is the context of the act. This is the rape of a minor, and there is a difference between this and consensual relations. If this act itself were so so evil, why wouldnt it be a sin? Why is it allowed between married people for reproduction?
Also I recommend the readers to do a search in youtube on so called "Islamic Exorcism" and djinns. a lot of videos are from such fake pirs and maulanas doing some weird dance and pretending that a djinn has taken over. Its well known that the holy Quran forbids this kind of magic and ritualisation. This should be stopped immediately
