" I castrated him on August 14 because that is Independence Day. I figured it was the best time to free this child from the cares of the world," Pir Haider Ali.

GUJRANWALA:

A two-year-old boy was castrated by a local pir on Sunday. According to police officials, the pir cut off the boy’s genitals to turn him into a malang.

SSP (Operations) Ahmed Aziz Nasir received reports on Sunday, that pir Haider Ali had castrated a toddler after the child’s mother promised to turn her child over to him to be ‘raised as a malang’.

Madu Lhalil resident Shehnaz Munir had been yearning for a child for several years and approached Haider Ali in this regard. “I had eight children and they all died one after the other. When I met Ali he told me I would have a son and that he would only live if he was a malang. I agreed,” she said. Shehnaz promised the pir that if she had a son she would give him to the pir to be raised as a malang. “I gave him of my own free will. I want him to be raised as a spiritual man and I trust Ali’s judgment.

I had a son because of his help so he has the right to do whatever he wants to raise the child as a future pir,” she told reporters.

Girjakh police arrested Ali from Jinnah road in Mohallah Mughalpura for castrating Sabir Ali and recovered the boy.

Ali said that he had received the boy two years ago but told Shehnaz to bring him back when he had been weaned and she brought Sabir to him on August 11. “I castrated him on August 14 because that is Pakistan’s Independence Day. I figured it was the best time to free this child from the cares of the world and all the corruption in it. Now he is pure,” he told reporters.

“The pir has a track record of rape and was known for living in a brothel with a group of eunuchs,” said a police official.

“He now says that he has seen the light and that he only fornicated with eunuchs because they were ‘pure’. That is why he castrated the child,” said a visitor at Ali’s shrine.

“Ali is a very spiritual man. He has devoted his powers to helping barren women conceive and to prayer,” said Ali’s apprentice Mauj.

“The boy was promised to us and was to live at the shrine but the police have taken him away. What does the police know of magic and spirituality?” he said.

Inter-religions peace committee chairman Qari Zahid Nadeem said that the castration was against Shariah and that Ali ought to be punished. “Islam mandates an eye for an eye and a nose for a nose. This pir should be castrated in public to pay for his crime,” he said.

Police have registered a case against the accused and taken Ali into custody. A case has also been registered against Shehnaz and Sabir Ali has been sent to the Child Protection Bureau

The opinion of the Chairman of Inter- Religious Peace committee is foolish. Public Castration of the accused Pir, though will be cheered by the masses; will never serve the interest of Sharia.
Sharia is a toy in the hands of these immature grown ups. For God sake don’t malign religion where justice can be done without sactifying hte punishment.
Any person with little gray matter in the skull will not see any distinction between the culpability of the mother, the pir and the police. Recommend

How fabulous that Qari Nadeem seeks to establish inter-religious peace by answering insanity with insanity. And insane people will, no doubt, applaud his abominable demands.

Learn to recognize the line between justice and revenge.

Even at the risk of being called un-patriotic, I strongly condemn the pir and the police not to put him in jail for ever. These real enemies of people of Pakistan must be put away so they cannot molest more children. The most disgusting and ruthles animalistic act one can imagine.

Tauba Tauba….and these people (the pirs and their mureeds call thmselves muslims?) by no means…they seem to have left the fold of Islam. No wonder there are floods, dengue and other problems…when people leave Islamic teachings and follow this crap….then divine punishment will surely come…Tauba Tauba…castrating a child..and his mother says that the child was born with the Pir’s help? rather than acknowledging that its by Allah’s will. Peeri mureedi should be banned and made a crime officially. O Pakistanis learn Islam from the Arabs (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Egypt, etc)

Why do you think that all the pedophiles in the West are quickly put in jail. To prevent this kind of act! They even have a pedophile registry in most Westtern societies. We need to have a pedophile registry in Pakistan too.

    @Asad:
Learn Islam from the Arabs? You mean Arabs like the Saudi royal family which spends billions of dollars gambling away their nation’s wealth in the casinos of las vegas? or perhaps learn from the sheikh of abu dhabi who spent untold millions carving his name into the desert so that it could be seen from space? no no you must of course mean Hosni Mubarak who spent the last 30 years oppressing his people! but wait what about Dubai? with its night clubs, bars and prostitutes, that surely is a lesson that Pakistanis should learn!

As for your comment regarding ‘divine punishment,’ isnt it strange how the people who suffer from floods are also the most poor and helpless in our society? its funny how people sittting in their concrete houses infront of their laptops posting ridiculous comments dont have to worry about ‘divine punishment.’ what have they done to deserve such blessings?

Please stop spouting your ignorant crap.

I don’t know what to say failure of rules or absence o punishment or illiteracy took the better of every one in this story. A guy with a record of rape not caught before where is the protection in that. A mother willingly and knowingly gave up her child for this kind of crap believes more in PIr rather taking her chances and putting her faith in Allah. Pir who find pleasure in torture and rape shows how sick he is.
But I honestly don’t put the entire blame on the pir it’s every ones fault and they should all be hanged or shot for it. Although I am not into publicly dismantlement of the pir. This is not right and nobody gives you that right.

This is certainly not Islam…let’s be very loud and clear. This is crime covered in the name of Islam targeting poor and uneducated people to make money and fulfill evil desires.

    Unfortunate to say the least….

@Mustafa Pasha – first do not try to change the concept of divine Punishment. The concept is quite clear in Islam and you should not give incorrect examples to defy the concept.

with regards to specific examples that you mentioned (Also mentioned by atheists) as to why the poor get effected. It can be a trial on those People from Allah. Or it can be trial on the rich people on how well they spend in the way of Allah by giving to their poor effected brothers.
