Sarah Pidgeon and her Love Story co-stars have taken a moment to reflect on their life-changing year following the success of the FX limited series.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE, Pidgeon revealed that she recently caught up with several of her co-stars during a group FaceTime call, giving them an opportunity to look back on the unexpected journey they have experienced since the show's premiere.

The actress said the conversation included Paul Anthony Kelly, who portrayed John F. Kennedy Jr., Constance Zimmer, who played Carolyn Bessette Kennedy's mother Ann Messina, and Grace Gummer, who portrayed Caroline Kennedy.

Reflecting on the past year, Pidgeon described the experience as one that somehow felt both incredibly short and remarkably long. She also shared how comforting it had been to reconnect with the people who understood what the cast had experienced while bringing the story to life.

The reunion comes after Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette became a major success for FX, introducing Pidgeon and Kelly to a much wider audience. The nine-episode series chronicles the relationship between Kennedy Jr. and Bessette, from their romance and marriage to the tragedy that ultimately ended their lives.

Pidgeon portrayed Bessette, the Calvin Klein fashion publicist who became one of the most recognisable figures in American popular culture after marrying Kennedy Jr. Kelly played the late Kennedy heir, whose public profile and relationship attracted considerable media attention throughout the 1990s.

The series' success also brought significant recognition to its cast. Love Story became FX's most-watched limited series ever on Hulu and Disney+, while receiving six nominations at the 2026 Emmy Awards. Both Pidgeon and Zimmer earned acting nominations for their performances.

For Pidgeon, playing Bessette was a particularly meaningful experience, given the responsibility of portraying a real person whose life continues to attract public fascination. The actress previously discussed the importance of approaching the role with research, empathy and respect for Bessette's story.

The renewed attention surrounding the series has also marked a major turning point in Pidgeon's career. The actress has spoken about adjusting to the increased public recognition while trying to maintain the private aspects of her life.

Despite the whirlwind of the past year, her recent FaceTime conversation with her co-stars offered an opportunity to reconnect with the people who shared the experience with her.

Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette is available to stream on Hulu and Disney+.
