Spy x Family is officially returning in 2027, with Toho Animation confirming both a fourth season of the anime and a new theatrical film for next year.

The announcement comes nearly a year after the third season concluded on December 27 2025.

A teaser visual for Season 4 has also been unveiled, featuring Loid, Yor, Anya and their dog Bond out together in the city as newspaper pages fly around them. Further details about the upcoming season and film have yet to be announced.

The first Season 4 teaser visual for Spy x Family shows the Forger family out and about in their traditional outfits.

The new movie will be the franchise's second theatrical release, following Spy x Family Code: White, which arrived in Japanese cinemas in December 2023 before receiving a US release on April 19 2024.

Supervised by manga creator Tatsuya Endo, Code: White featured an original story centred on the Forger family's holiday trip.

Anya needed to find a rare ingredient for a school cooking assignment, hoping to impress her headmaster, earn a Stella Star and help Loid advance Operation Strix. However, the family became involved in another mission that threatened world peace.

The film received a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 97% audience score on the Popcornmeter, according to the figures cited in the original report. It is also available to stream on Crunchyroll.

The Spy x Family anime adaptation first premiered on April 9 2022 and currently has 50 episodes available on Crunchyroll.

Based on Endo's manga, the story follows secret agent Loid Forger, who creates a fake family as part of a mission to approach a prominent politician. His supposed wife Yor is secretly an assassin, while their adopted daughter Anya has telepathic abilities. Their dog Bond can see the future.
