GTA 6 reportedly generates $751m in pre-orders ahead of launch
GTA 6 has reportedly attracted 7.71m digital pre-orders, generating estimated $751m in revenue

Grand Theft Auto 6 has reportedly generated approximately $751 million in digital pre-order revenue ahead of its scheduled release on November 19 2026.
Estimates from analytics firm Sensor Tower suggest Rockstar Games' upcoming title has already attracted around 7.71 million pre-orders across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
According to the firm's figures, PlayStation accounts for 74 per cent of digital pre-orders, compared with 26 per cent for Xbox.
This represents approximately 5.74 million copies on PS5, generating an estimated $559 million, while Xbox Series X|S accounts for around 1.97 million copies and $192 million in revenue.
Sensor Tower's estimates also indicate that GTA 6 has generated more than $100 million in additional pre-order revenue over the past two weeks, suggesting continued demand ahead of its launch.
However, the figures are unofficial estimates rather than confirmed sales data from Rockstar Games or its parent company, Take-Two Interactive. They also cover digital pre-orders only, meaning physical editions are not included in the reported totals.
The reported revenue has drawn comparisons with Grand Theft Auto 5's launch performance.
According to official figures released by Take-Two Interactive, GTA 5 generated more than $800 million in worldwide sales during its first 24 hours following its September 2013 release. The game subsequently surpassed $1 billion in sales within three days.
GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players will be able to preload the game from November 10, ahead of its release.
