Lindsay Lohan and Henry Golding set to star in Netflix’s 'Return to You'

Lindsay Lohan and Henry Golding will star in Netflix’s romantic film 'Return to You', directed by Mark Waters

Lindsay Lohan and Henry Golding are set to lead Netflix’s upcoming romantic feature Return to You, with Lohan also attached as a producer.

The film will be directed by Mark Waters, who previously worked with Lohan on Mean Girls and Freaky Friday. Brad Krevoy, who produced Lohan’s Netflix films Falling for Christmas and Irish Wish, will also produce the new project.

Written by Eric Champnella, Return to You follows a successful but lonely female attorney, played by Lohan, who accidentally receives an emotional DVD intended for a dying woman’s husband, portrayed by Golding.

After discovering the recording, the attorney uses clues from the DVD to track down the intended recipient. The story will centre on her journey as she attempts to find the man connected to the mysterious message.

Lohan has established a strong connection with the romantic comedy genre through films including Just My Luck, Falling for Christmas, Irish Wish and Our Little Secret. She also became widely known for roles in The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday and Mean Girls. In 2025, she returned as Anna Coleman in Freakier Friday, the sequel to Freaky Friday.

Golding rose to international prominence with Crazy Rich Asians and has since appeared in romantic films including Last Christmas and Monsoon. His other credits include A Simple Favor, The Gentlemen, Persuasion and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

Return to You will reunite Lohan with Waters and Krevoy as the actress continues her work with Netflix. The project adds another romance title to both Lohan and Golding’s filmographies.
