Liam Payne’s sister Nicola was in the crowd as Niall Horan played his voice during 'End of an Era'

Liam Payne’s sister Nicola Payne was among the audience when Niall Horan paid tribute to her late brother during his Manchester concert.

Horan played a recording of Liam’s voice at the end of his performance of End of an Era during his Dinner Party Live on Tour show at Manchester’s Co-op Live on September 25. The emotional moment left the arena silent as Liam’s voice reflected on his journey and achievements.

Nicola later shared an emotional statement on social media thanking Horan for inviting her and her family to the concert. She described the night as an “emotional” experience for the four of them and said hearing Liam’s voice fill an arena again was difficult to put into words.

“Knowing that this may be the last time we ever hear his voice played out across an arena made it incredibly difficult, but at the same time, there was something so beautiful and comforting about it,” Nicola wrote.

She added that Liam would “always be a part” of such moments for the family and said hearing his voice brought back memories while also making it feel as though “a little piece of him was right there with us.”

Nicola also mentioned an orb she noticed while filming Horan’s performance of End of an Era. She said she would “like to think that was Liam joining us for a moment too.”

Horan’s tribute has become a significant part of his current tour following Liam’s death in October 2024. The former One Direction bandmates remained close after the group’s split, and Horan has previously spoken about rewriting End of an Era following Liam’s death.

Nicola concluded her message by congratulating Horan on his show and thanking him for giving her family such a “special and emotional night.”
