KATSEYE make Saturday Night Live debut with ‘Animal’ and ‘Hootie Frutti’

Four of members performed during the SNL appearance, with Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza currently on hiatus

KATSEYE made their Saturday Night Live debut on September 26, performing two songs from their latest EP, WILD, during the show's season 52 premiere.

The global girl group took the Studio 8H stage to perform “Animal” and “Hootie Frutti”, both featured on the five-track EP. The appearance marked another major US television milestone for the group following performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and the Today summer concert series.

Four of KATSEYE's six members performed during the SNL appearance, with Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza currently on hiatus. The group's latest EP also includes “Pinky Up”, “Bel Air” and “That Way”.

KATSEYE's Saturday Night Live debut came alongside host Jalen Brunson, who was also making his first appearance on the long-running NBC sketch series. The season 52 premiere marked the group's latest step in their rapid rise after forming through Dream Academy, the reality competition created through a partnership between HYBE and Geffen Records.

The group has continued expanding its presence in the US since emerging from Dream Academy two years ago, with their latest television appearances adding to their growing profile beyond the K-pop scene.
