Married at First Sight expert Paul C. Brunson reveals Felipe had multiple dating apps before marrying Tori

Married at First Sight expert Paul C. Brunson has revealed an unaired moment involving Season 20 contestant Felipe, saying he discovered the groom had multiple dating apps on his phone before his wedding to Tori.

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, Brunson recalled noticing a dating app on Felipe’s phone while meeting with him ahead of the wedding. The revelation prompted the relationship expert to ask Felipe to delete his dating apps before marrying Tori.

“This is a scoop,” Brunson said, noting that the moment never made it into the episode.

Felipe, a 29-year-old restaurant owner, was matched with Tori, a 32-year-old marketing manager, by Brunson and fellow expert Dr. Lisa. Although the couple developed a strong connection, questions were raised about whether Felipe was prepared for marriage and monogamy.

Brunson said Felipe appeared reluctant when asked to remove the apps, but he was surprised to discover just how many dating platforms were on the contestant’s phone.

“He’s like, ‘swipe, delete, delete, delete, swipe, delete,’” Brunson recalled, explaining that Felipe eventually removed all of them. The footage, however, was left out of the final episode.

Brunson also discussed another Season 20 moment involving contestant Adam. Before marrying Marissa, Adam was asked to end a relationship with a woman he had been seeing casually.

Brunson initially believed Adam might have exaggerated the relationship. However, when Adam called the woman, she answered and appeared interested in him, leaving the expert surprised.

The revelations offer additional insight into the behind-the-scenes decisions made by the Married at First Sight experts as they prepare contestants for marriage.
