Anne Hathaway has publicly addressed persistent rumours surrounding her appearance after months of online speculation about whether she had undergone cosmetic surgery. In a new interview with Elle, the actress explained why she chose to break her usual silence and respond directly to the conversation that had increasingly dominated public attention.

The speculation intensified following several recent red carpet appearances connected to The Devil Wears Prada 2. Social media users widely discussed Hathaway’s youthful appearance, with many online commentators claiming the actress had undergone a facelift or other cosmetic procedures. Hathaway also laughed about past beauty mistakes, admitting she spent years unsuccessfully trying to explain hairstyles verbally before finally learning to bring visual references to stylists.
