Seth Rogen and Jon Stewart took aim at Kanye West during a headline-grabbing performance at the Netflix Is a Joke Festival, turning the Greek Theatre charity show into one of the most talked-about comedy moments of the week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Rogen hosted the “Seth Goes Greek” event in support of his nonprofit Hilarity for Charity, bringing together a stacked lineup that included Jon Stewart, Nick Kroll, Eric André, Sarah Silverman, Nikki Glaser, Josh Gad, Michael Bublé, Busta Rhymes and magician Justin Willman.

During his set, Rogen referenced West’s recent controversies and public behaviour, including antisemitic remarks and music releases that have sparked widespread backlash. His comments quickly circulated online, with clips spreading across social media platforms shortly after the show.

Jon Stewart later joined the stage and continued the criticism, directly addressing West’s public persona and past statements. Stewart’s remarks included sharp jokes about the rapper’s behaviour and reputation, contributing to the night’s politically charged tone.

Other performers also touched on cultural and political figures during the event, including RFK Jr. and Donald Trump, as the show leaned heavily into topical humour. Despite the edgy material, the night remained rooted in charity, raising funds for Alzheimer’s research through Hilarity for Charity.

Kanye West, also known as Ye, has remained a controversial figure in recent years due to repeated public backlash over antisemitic comments and attempted career comebacks.

The Netflix Is a Joke Festival continues across Los Angeles, featuring hundreds of live performances as part of one of the biggest comedy events on the global entertainment calendar.
