Valkyrae explains deleted post amid Sykkuno scandal and online reactions
The controversy began when VTuber HemomalVT released a 32-page document detailing accusations against Sykkuno

Twitch streamer Rachel “Valkyrae” Hofstetter has addressed why she deleted a comment on X related to ongoing allegations involving fellow streamer Sykkuno.
The situation follows widespread online discussion after a document shared on April 10 accused Sykkuno of serious misconduct.
The claims quickly gained traction across social media, prompting responses from several prominent content creators. While some, including Félix “xQc”, dismissed the allegations, Valkyrae initially reacted with a brief post stating, “Disappointing :(”.
She also commented on a post by JasonTheWeen, which referenced Sykkuno in a humorous manner.

However, Valkyrae later removed her reply and clarified her reasoning during a livestream. “I was making fun of my own comment from a long time ago. I thought it was gonna be light-hearted... it was not light-hearted. I deleted it because... it... uhh... a lot more harassment, a lot of harassment, so it was like, ‘Damn,’ y’know?”
Valkyrae explained that the response had been intended as light-hearted banter but was misinterpreted by viewers. “I was trying to be light-hearted about it, so I thought making fun of my own comment... y’know?”

In a separate stream on April 12, she confirmed that she had spoken directly with Sykkuno about the situation. “Elephant in the room - obviously, yes, I did talk to Sykkuno, and yes, he told me everything. And yes, I shouldn’t have tweeted that I was disappointed yesterday, because it just gave a lot of ammo to a lot of angry people.”
Despite expressing regret over her public reaction, Valkyrae maintained her stance on the issue. “Yeah, I am disappointed, just like I’ve been disappointed with a lot of my friends in the past.” She added, “cheating is bad, guys. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but cheating is not a good thing. It’s selfish, it hurts people.”
She concluded by stating, “I think he really needs to talk to the people involved.”
