Atlassian Williams F1 Team has announced a new collaboration with the anime series Dan Da Dan and watchmaker UNDONE, marking what the team describes as the first crossover between Formula 1 and anime.

The partnership, which also involves Mainichi Broadcasting System, was confirmed on March 26, with a capsule collection expected to launch later in 2026. Details regarding pricing and specific product offerings have not yet been disclosed.

Williams stated that the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to engage a younger and more global audience, reflecting the sport’s growing reach beyond traditional motorsport demographics. Dan Da Dan, the anime selected for the collaboration, has gained significant global viewership, making it a notable choice for the crossover.

The partnership builds on an existing relationship between Williams and UNDONE, which began in July 2025. Previous joint releases included the FW47 and Carbono watches, with customisation features allowing fans to engrave driver numbers and helmet designs.

UNDONE founder Robert Tran commented on the collaboration, saying: “Bringing a Formula 1 team and a supernatural anime together is a natural evolution of what their fanbases look like today. They care about craft, energy, and things that move at full speed. The overlap between F1 and anime isn’t niche anymore — it’s a culture.”

Williams merchandise and licensing director Luke Timmins also addressed the partnership, stating: “Here at Atlassian Williams F1 Team, we’re not content to just follow the crowd – we’re always looking to break boundaries, try new things, and find creative ways to bring fans on our journey. This collaboration is the latest demonstration of that ambition.”

Timmins added that the project aligns with the timing of the Japanese Grand Prix and the team’s ongoing partnerships with Japanese brands.

Dan Da Dan producer Hiroshi Kamei highlighted the potential reach of the initiative, stating: “We are truly delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with the historic Atlassian Williams F1 Team. First-time initiatives are always exciting, and we have great expectations for the new possibilities this collaboration will bring.”
