The first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has finally dropped, giving fans a glimpse into a dramatically changed world for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker — and a surprising new dynamic involving Zendaya’s MJ.

The footage picks up after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Peter made the ultimate sacrifice by allowing the world to forget his identity. In the new reality, that decision appears to have lasting consequences, with MJ seemingly moving on and now having a new boyfriend, leaving Peter emotionally isolated.

The trailer leans heavily into Peter’s loneliness, showing him navigating life as Spider-Man without the support system he once had. The emotional fallout of being forgotten by his closest friends, including MJ and Ned, sets the tone for what looks to be a more introspective chapter in the franchise.

Beyond the personal stakes, the film is also expanding its scope within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The trailer teases appearances from major characters, including Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo, and introduces new threats such as the return of Scorpion and the arrival of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.

The upcoming installment marks the fourth Spider-Man film led by Holland and is positioned as a “new beginning” for the character following the reset of his personal life. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film also features returning cast members Jacob Batalon and Jon Favreau, alongside newcomers like Sadie Sink.

Set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026, Spider-Man: Brand New Day promises to explore a more independent Peter Parker, one who must redefine himself as both a hero and a person in a world that no longer remembers who he is.
