Pindi bar polls set for Feb 28

Annual elections of the Rawalpindi High Court Bar Association (RHCBA) will be held on February 28, it has been announced.
According to the election schedule issued by Chairman of the Election Board Mujeeb Kiani, nomination papers for all major seats, including President and Secretary General, have been declared valid.
Meanwhile, the Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary and five members of the Executive Body have been elected unopposed.
Three candidates are contesting the presidency: Saeed Yousaf Khan, Faisal Butt and Aftab Alam Warraich. Similarly, three contenders have entered the race for Secretary General - Qasim Mahmood Malik, Saleh Muhammad Malik and Misbah Aziz Kiani.
For the seat of Senior Vice President, Saeema Shuja and Shazia Yousaf Raja have been cleared to contest. Nailah Firdous Kiani and Saqib Hussain Chaudhry will compete for the position of Vice President. All candidates have formally launched their election campaigns.
Saba Faraz has been elected unopposed as Additional Secretary General, while Mehr Amir Shehzad secured the position of Joint Secretary without contest.
