Early viewership data for Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl 60 halftime show suggests the performance attracted a massive audience, although official ratings have yet to be released.

The global superstar headlined the highly anticipated event amid debate surrounding his selection, while a competing broadcast attempted to draw viewers away from the main stage.

Turning Point USA aired an alternative “All-American Halftime Show,” headlined by Kid Rock and featuring country artists Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett. According to reports, the online broadcast drew approximately 6.1 million concurrent viewers on YouTube and accumulated nearly 20 million views shortly after launch. Despite the additional programming, preliminary figures indicate that Bad Bunny’s performance remained the dominant halftime attraction.

A YouTube upload of the NFL’s official video of Bad Bunny’s set surpassed 16 million views by Monday morning, highlighting strong digital engagement. Apple Music also reported that the halftime show press conference became the most-watched in Super Bowl history, generating more than 63 million views across livestreams and social platforms.

While comparisons to previous halftime shows are inevitable, verified audience totals are still pending. Kendrick Lamar currently holds the record for the most-watched Super Bowl halftime performance, drawing 133.5 million viewers last year. Analysts will likely use that benchmark once Nielsen releases finalized ratings.

Super Bowl broadcasts continue to trend upward overall. Nielsen estimated that Super Bowl 59 reached 127.7 million viewers, marking the largest television audience in the event’s history and continuing a five-year growth pattern.

With Bad Bunny fresh off a successful world tour, Grammy recognition, and major global popularity, industry observers expect strong final numbers. Until official data arrives, early indicators point to a halftime show that successfully captured widespread attention across both television and digital platforms.
