Kyedae and TenZ confirm end of six-year relationship in public statement
Content creators Kyedae Shymko and Tyson “TenZ” Ngo confirmed they ended their relationship, citing personal growth

Content creator Kyedae Shymko and former professional VALORANT player Tyson “TenZ” Ngo have confirmed that they have ended their relationship after six years together.
The announcement was shared in a post on Kyedae’s X account, where she explained that the pair had already been separated for some time before making the news public.
According to her statement, the decision followed a period of reflection during which they realised they were no longer growing as individuals.
“We’ve actually been broken up for quite some time now,” Kyedae wrote. “Toward the end of our relationship, we came to a realisation that wasn’t easy to accept: we had stopped growing as individuals.”
Kyedae explained that for much of their relationship, they shared nearly every aspect of their lives. “For most of our relationship, we did everything together,” she wrote, adding that they worked together and shared the same hobbies and interests.
She also noted that they met at the age of 17 and moved in together shortly afterwards, describing that period as all they knew from their late teens into their mid-twenties.
Addressing speculation online, Kyedae stated that the breakup was not caused by conflict or a specific incident. “There was no wrongdoing, no resentment, and no single event that caused this,” she wrote. “We grew apart.”
The statement followed weeks of discussion among fans after the couple removed photos together from social media and were seen separately without their engagement rings. Kyedae and TenZ had previously announced their engagement in late 2021 or early 2022.
Despite confirming the end of their relationship, Kyedae said they remain appreciative of the time they spent together. “We still care deeply about each other and genuinely want the best for one another,” she wrote, adding that they are grateful for the life they shared.
TenZ reposted the statement on his own account, indicating that the announcement was made jointly.
The confirmation brings an end to the pair's public relationship, throughout most of TenZ’s professional esports career.
