Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding planner speaks out amid rift with David and Victoria Beckham
Planner disputes wedding tension claims involving David and Victoria Beckham

Brooklyn Beckham’s former wedding planner has expressed surprise at the fallout between the eldest Beckham son and his famous parents, saying he witnessed no friction during the planning of Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz.
The comments come days after Brooklyn released a strongly worded public statement detailing his estrangement from David and Victoria Beckham, in which he accused his parents of overstepping boundaries around his wedding and personal life.
Preston Bailey, the celebrity event planner originally hired for the couple’s nuptials, told Page Six that his experience with Brooklyn painted a very different picture.
“It surprises me that he is taking this stand against his parents,” Bailey said, describing Brooklyn as “a gentle, decent guy” who was actively involved in the wedding process. “There was never any tension that I saw.”
Bailey worked with Brooklyn and Peltz for nearly a year and also planned their engagement party. He said Brooklyn was hands-on with design decisions and consistently consulted alongside his fiancée.
“There was a lot of affection between them,” Bailey added, pushing back on speculation that Peltz dominated the planning. “Nothing moved forward without Brooklyn’s approval.”
Brooklyn’s recent statement alleged that his mother, Victoria Beckham, disrupted his first dance with Peltz and reneged on plans to design her wedding dress. He also claimed his parents pressured him to sign away rights to his name before the wedding, accusations that have reignited scrutiny of the high-profile ceremony.
Bailey said he did not work directly with David or Victoria Beckham during the planning process and largely coordinated with the couple via Zoom or at the Peltz family’s home in Palm Beach. He ultimately stepped away from the wedding due to scheduling conflicts.
The renewed focus on the wedding has also revived discussion around the Peltz family’s earlier legal dispute with a separate wedding planning firm, a contract lawsuit that was settled in 2023.
Neither David nor Victoria Beckham have publicly addressed Brooklyn’s allegations. However, sources told People this week that the couple remain deeply concerned about their son and fear losing him permanently, while other insiders suggest reconciliation may be unlikely under current circumstances.
For now, Bailey says his memories of the wedding period remain overwhelmingly positive.
“I only saw love and cooperation,” he said. “Whatever is happening now didn’t show itself then.”
