Huh Yunjin of K-pop group LE SSERAFIM has faced online criticism following a recent live singing performance, with fans debating her vocal delivery and overall execution. The discussion gained traction within hours of the performance, as clips circulated across social media platforms and fan forums.

Some fans criticised the performance for perceived issues with pitch control and emotional delivery. Viewers shared clips highlighting moments they felt sounded unstable, leading to comparisons with Yunjin’s earlier appearances before her debut.

In particular, fans referenced her time as a Pledis trainee on the survival programme Produce 48, where she performed the song I Trust Now When and was noted for her ability to hit high notes during live stages.

Several commenters suggested that her earlier performances showed stronger vocal consistency, arguing that the contrast raised questions about changes in her technique since debuting with LE SSERAFIM.

Others attributed the difference to the demands of current group choreography and performance schedules, noting that live vocals in K-pop are often affected by intense physical movement.

A number of fans also directed criticism towards HYBE, the group’s management company, suggesting that training priorities or vocal coaching may have shifted since Yunjin’s trainee period. Some posts described the issue as a result of mismanagement, while others called for greater emphasis on vocal development alongside performance.

At the same time, supporters defended Yunjin, pointing out that live singing can vary from performance to performance and that comparisons with trainee-era stages may overlook changes in musical style and concept.
