Meghan Trainor reacts to Ashley Tisdale mom group fallout in TikTok post
Meghan Trainor addressed Ashley Tisdale’s “toxic” mom group claims, suggesting surprise

Meghan Trainor has publicly addressed the controversy surrounding her celebrity mom group after Ashley Tisdale described the circle as “toxic” in a recent essay. According to Page Six, the singer appeared to downplay her involvement, suggesting she was unaware of the alleged drama until it gained attention online.
On Thursday, Trainor shared a TikTok video showing herself reacting to headlines about the situation, pairing the clip with her 2025 song “Still Don’t Care.” She added text reading, “Me finding out about the apparent mom group drama,” signaling surprise at the unfolding narrative.
The response came days after Tisdale, 40, published a personal essay in The Cut, in which she claimed she was gradually excluded from a close-knit group of famous mothers that reportedly included Trainor, Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore. Tisdale wrote that she felt left out of social gatherings, questioned what she had done wrong, and ultimately chose to remove herself from what she described as “high school”-style dynamics.
Tisdale emphasized that she did not view the women as bad people, noting that the group’s dynamic had simply become unhealthy. She also alleged that one member displayed “mean girl” behavior and said the environment no longer felt supportive or positive.
Following the essay’s publication, Hilary Duff’s husband, musician Matthew Koma, appeared to mock Tisdale by sharing a satirical image styled as a Cut magazine cover. The headline criticized what it described as self-absorbed behavior, a move that some interpreted as a response to Tisdale’s claims. An insider familiar with the situation told Page Six that Koma’s post reflected longstanding tensions and suggested Tisdale’s departure from the group had been inevitable.
While Trainor continues to follow Tisdale on social media, Tisdale no longer follows Duff or Moore. Trainor’s TikTok response drew praise from fans, many of whom commended her for staying out of the conflict.
Neither Duff nor Moore has directly addressed the claims. A representative for Tisdale declined to comment further.
