CCTV footage exposes child abduction suspects
On Monday, police released CCTV footage showing woman carrying child out of pediatric ward accompanied by a man

A three-month-old infant was abducted from Civil Hospital Karachi on December 25. On Monday, police released CCTV footage showing a woman carrying the child out of the pediatric ward accompanied by a man. The video clearly captures both suspects' faces as they exit the hospital.
According to police, the child's mother-who lives on the footpath near Meeran Naka and belongs to a beggar family-said her baby fell ill on December 24. While feeding the child, a passerby woman assured her of full medical treatment. The next day, the same woman accompanied her to Civil Hospital, where the baby was given IV fluids and other aid.
The mother stated that when the time came for discharge, the woman absconded with the child. Police confirmed that the case has been registered at Eidgah police station. Investigators revealed the suspect had previously assisted the family, often visiting with her husband, and even bore the expenses of the child's treatment during hospitalization.
Police have released images of the suspect and are using CCTV footage to trace her.
