PML-F youth booked for tearing down PPP flags
PML-F Sindh general secretary condemns registration of case against around 80 youth activists

Sanghar police have registered a case against activists of the Muslim Students Federation (MSF), the student wing of the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F), over the alleged removal of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) flags, a move the PML-F has described as politically motivated.
PML-F Sindh General Secretary Sardar Abdul Rahim said the FIR was registered at the behest of PPP leadership and termed it a false case. He condemned the registration of the case against MSF Sindh President Mohsin Qadir Hangoro and around 80 youth activists at Sanghar Police Station.
Rejecting the allegations, PML-F Sanghar President Ghulam Dastgir Raar and other party leaders claimed that the flags had fallen on their own after getting entangled in sugarcane-laden trolleys passing through the area. Abdul Rahim said that the youth of the Hur Jamaat, acting under the directives of Pir Pagara, had never violated the law. He accused PPP elements of attempting to create unrest through baseless allegations.
Meanwhile, Express correspondent from Sanghar reported that the police registered the case following a complaint by PPP Sanghar City President Ghulam Haider Pehnwar. The complaint alleged that MSF members removed and burnt PPP flags during the visit of Pir Pagara's son, Rashid Shah, to the city. One person was reportedly arrested.
