A Disney World cast member was injured during a performance of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios after a 400-pound prop boulder became displaced from its track.
The incident occurred when the large rubber sphere, designed to follow a controlled path on stage, veered off course during the live stunt show.
Video footage shared on social media shows the boulder bouncing away from its designated route and rolling onto the stage area. A staff member rushed in to prevent the prop from moving further and reaching the audience.

The force of the boulder knocked the cast member to the ground as he attempted to stop it. Another employee quickly entered the stage to assist before the video cut off. According to Disney, the injured cast member received immediate medical attention.
“We’re focused on supporting our cast member, who is recovering,” a Disney spokesperson said. “Safety is at the heart of what we do, and that element of the show will be modified as our safety team completes a review of what happened.”
The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! is a long-running attraction inspired by scenes from the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Harrison Ford.
The show recreates action sequences for audiences, featuring choreographed fights, falls from height, bullwhip demonstrations and special effects designed to simulate danger while prioritising performer safety.
According to its official description, the production incorporates multiple contingency measures to manage unexpected issues during performances.
Disney confirmed that the boulder sequence involved in the incident will be altered while an internal safety review is conducted.
