George Clooney reveals returning cast and early storyline for 'Ocean’s 14'
The sequel is in early development, with location scouting under way and production expected to begin in October 2026

George Clooney has confirmed that several original cast members will return for Ocean’s 14 and has shared the first clear indication of the sequel’s storyline.
The actor revealed that the new film will centre on the iconic group attempting a heist later in life, marking a shift from the earlier instalments of the franchise.
Clooney confirmed that Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle and Julia Roberts are all set to reprise their roles. He explained that the concept behind Ocean’s 14 focuses on how the characters have aged since audiences last saw them working together on screen.
“There was something about the idea that we’re too old to do what we used to do, but we’re still smart enough to know how to get away with something, that just appeals to me,” Clooney said. “They’ve lost a step, and they need to find a way to work around their limitations.”
According to Clooney, the 1979 film Going in Style served as a key influence on the new sequel. That film follows a group of senior citizens who decide to pull off a robbery, an idea Clooney felt aligned naturally with revisiting the Ocean’s characters decades later.
Ocean’s 14 is currently in early development, with location scouting under way and production expected to begin in October 2026. While Steven Soderbergh directed the original trilogy, the new film will be helmed by David Leitch, with Clooney also taking on screenwriting duties.
